Daniel Alva, Hatha Yoga Asana Teacher, vocalist, musician, Schauberger Environmentalist, has been studying yoga since 1995, gaining influence and inspiration from the Iyengar, Astanga, and Vinyasa traditions. Daniel has been teaching Hatha Yoga Asanas since 2003 in Sonoma and Marin Counties. His muse is that of the Astanga (8 limbs) tradition of Sri B.K.S. Iyengar. Daniel is a student at the Iyengar Institute’s Advanced Studies program in San Francisco, and he intends to become a certified Iyengar Teacher. He is devoted to lifelong learning, exploration, inspiration, The Joy of Life and awe. Along with studying Iyengar Yoga, he is a student of Sacred Geometry, the New Sacred Geometric discoveries of Frank Chester’s work and their implications on Hatha Yoga, Sports Medicine and Athletic Training. Besides Yoga, his other muse is the study of the human voice (being a singer), and the healing and therapeutic benefits of music. Daniel knows that yoga is both an art and a science, that it is noble, and that through consistent practice the sincere practitioner can transform physically, mentally and spiritually.
