Lisa teaches dynamic, alignment focused classes based on the teachings of BKS Iyengar. She strives to create a practice that is accessible, challenging and fun for all bodies. While yoga brings great strength and flexibility to the body, Lisa is most interested in the calming, centering effects that the practice has on the mind and the freedom it brings to those trapped in a traumatized state.
She completed a 500 hour Advanced Teacher Training through The Yoga Room in Berkeley in 2014 and graduated in 2020 from the 2-year Sadhana Studies program at Adeline Yoga Studio in Oakland. She currently assists Heather Haxo Phillips and participates in continuing teacher education with Patricia Walden & Carolyn Belko.
She is a fair weather commercial fisherwoman and a future cowgirl.
She loves to travel, and to laugh, and after a decade of denial about the temperature of the ocean here in Northern California, she has plans to finally get a wetsuit.
